Computer University(Taung-Ngu)was first opened on 4th September, 2000 as a College in Katumati Myo Thit, Taung-Ngu. On 20th January 2007, it was promoted into university level and was transferred to the campus of Technology University(Taung-Ngu)in Kanyo village on 20th, April, 2008.
ကွန်ပျူတာတက္ကသိုလ် (တောင်ငူ) ကို ၂၀၀၀ ပြည့်နှစ်၊ စက်တင်ဘာလ (၄) ရက်နေ့တွင် အစိုးရ ကွန်ပျူတာကောလိပ်အဖြစ် တောင်ငူမြို့၊ ကေတုမတီမြို့သစ်၌ စတင်ဖွင့်လှစ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ ၂၀၀၇ ခုနှစ်၊ ဇန်န၀ါရီလ (၂၀) ရက်နေ့တွင် တက္ကသိုလ်အဆင့်သို့ တိုးမြှင့်ခဲ့ပြီး ၂၀၀၈ ခုနှစ်၊ ဧပြီလ (၂၀) ရက်နေ့တွင် တောင်ငူမြို့၊ ကန်ရိုးကျေးရွာရှိ နည်းပညာတက္ကသိုလ် (တောင်ငူ) ကျောင်းနယ်မြေအား ကွန်ပျူတာတက္ကသိုလ် (တောင်ငူ) အဖြစ် လွှဲပြောင်းလက်ခံ ဖွင့်လှစ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။

သင်ကြားရေးနှင့် သုတေသနကို ဟန်ချက်ညီစွာဆောင်ရွက်၍၊ သတင်းအချက်အလက်နည်းပညာဖြင့် လူမှုအဖွဲ့အစည်းကိုဖွံ့ဖြိုး တိုးတက်စေသော၊ အရည်အချင်းပြည့်ဝသည့်ပညာရှင်များ မွေးထုတ်ပေးမည့် တက္ကသိုလ် တစ်ခု ဖြစ်လာစေရန်။

အရည်အသွေးမြင့်မားသော ပညာရေးနှင့် သုတေသနများ ဆောင်ရွက်၍ ဆန်းသစ်တီထွင်နိုင်မှု၊ လုပ်ငန်းခွင်နှင့် လက်တွေ့ချိတ်ဆက်နိုင်မှု တို့ဖြင့် ဒေသတွင်းနှင့် နိုင်ငံတော်၏ စီးပွားရေး၊ လူမှုရေး ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှုအတွက် အဓိကအခန်းကဏ္ဍမှ ပါဝင်နိုင်သည့် ပညာရှင်များမွေးထုတ်ပေးမည့် တက္ကသိုလ်တစ်ခုအဖြစ် လျင်မြန်စွာ ဖွံ့ဖြိုး တိုးတက်လာစေရန်။
